We're looking for stories that put friendship in the spotlight.
How is friendship an important part of your community and culture? Is friendship valued differently in other places you've lived?
What's your friendship style? Are you the one who sets up activities and encourages the group or do you prefer laid back, one on one time?
How do you define a 'best friend'?
If you and a friend disagree about something – from politics to parenting styles – how do you talk through things?
How can we collectively expand our thinking of relationships to include friendship as an important part of our circles, rather than focusing on romantic relationships?
Select conversations may be shared on CBC platforms.

Atlantic Voice26:10Why friendship deserves the spotlight
Society pushes us to couple up; romcoms double down on that. But what if you put friendship front and centre - even to the point of buying a house with your BFF? Writers and thinkers Rhaina Cohen and francesca ekwuyasi explore those ideas with the CBC's Elamin Abdelmahmoud. This talk was recorded live at the Halifax Central Library as part of the Hear Me Out conversation series, a partnership between CBC Atlantic and the Halifax Public Libraries.
