CBC Nova Scotia's Do Crew is ready to help

Do you know of an organization that needs a hand? How about 10?

Do you know of an organization that needs a hand? How about 10?

The CBC Montreal Do Crew will be at Plaza Pointe-Claire on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 11 - 3. (CBC)

The Do Crew wants you!

Are you interested in volunteering but don't know where to start?

The CBC Nova Scotia Do Crew is a monthly initiative spearheaded by Louise Renault of Daybreak Maritimes and Halifax's Information Morning celebrating the spirit of volunteerism and community in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

For a few hours every month, alongside Louise, the Do Crew — consisting of CBC listeners, viewers and readers — lends a hand at an event or fundraiser for a local organization. Learn about the inaugural Do Crew project here.

Need the Do Crew to help you?

If there is an event happening that you think the Do Crew should be part of, let us know.

In order for the event, fundraiser or activity to be eligible for help from the Do Crew, it must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a non-profit or not-for-profit organization (in the HRM area)
  • Be in need of hands-on help
  • Need the help of 8 to 15 volunteers for an activity that will last 2 to 4 hours (exceptions will be considered)
  • To submit a request for Do Crew help, or if you have any questions, get in touch with Louise at DoCrewNS@cbc.ca
