A new Halifax café is rolling the dice by offering customers old-school board games along with cappuccinos and espressos.
The Board Room Game Cafe on Barrington Street charges $5 per person to play its 400 games, from Monopoly to Friends.
Owner Chris Moulton said it’s part of a trend away from virtual reality to ordinary reality.
“It’s a pushback against our digital lives. Everyone is hooked to a computer all day long, so sitting across a physical board game from each other is a nice break from that,” he said.
