Westbound lanes of Highway 103 near Lakeside remain closed after fatal crash

A car left the road, entered the ditch and rolled around 12:30 p.m.

Police say one person is dead and two others were injured after a car left Highway 103, entered the ditch and rolled near Lakeside. 

Halifax RCMP say the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Highway 103 was closed to traffic in both directions between exits 2 and 3 for much of the afternoon. By 3:30 p.m., the eastbound lanes had opened. 

The car had three occupants. One person was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a news release. The other two occupants were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
