Answer: Very carefully using a giant crane.

A Lunenburg, N.S., academy got two new baby grand pianos Tuesday, but the challenge was getting them inside the 119-year-old school’s concert hall.

The building, which housed Lunenburg Academy until the school closed two years ago, is now home to the Lunenburg Academy of Music Performance.

The two pianos needed to get to the third floor concert hall. They wouldn’t fit through the front door and up the stairs, so a boom truck hoisted both to the window.

“We were making a few jokes about Wiley Coyote tending to get smashed over the head by a piano. Where do those pianos ever come from? And here we are lifting them,” joked Susan Corkum Greek, the academy’s general manager.
