MV Miner industrial accident sees worker airlifted from site

There's been an industrial accident at the demolition site of the wreck MV Miner.

JRCC sent a Cormorant helicopter Tuesday to airlift an injured person from the demolition site

There's been an industrial accident at the demolition site of the wreck MV Miner.

The Joint Search and Rescue Co-ordination Centre sent a Cormorant helicopter Tuesday to airlift an injured person suffering from what appear to be broken ribs. 

The company RJ MacIsaac​ Construction is handling the demolition. 

David MacDonald of the firm calls the injury minor. 

Both MacDonald and the Department of Transportation, which is overseeing the project, are expected to have more details later today.
