Nova Scotia ski hills get ready to open for season

None of the major ski hills are open yet, but several say they are busy making snow and hope to open within days.

The hill has also tweeted pictures of a white slope and a machine spraying a fine mist of snow. But the hill says it can't yet predict when the slopes will be ready for skiers.

About 15 centimetres of snow fell in Cape Breton on Sunday, followed by a couple of days of cold temperatures.
One hardy skier has already tackled the cross-country and telemark trails at Ski Tuonela, a back country resort in Cape Breton.
"We will be grooming the main trails in the next few days as long as it stays below zero," said Law.
