The Halifax Public Gardens will close for the 2016 season at dusk Saturday.

The municipality says the park may open during the winter months provided pathways are clear and safe for travelling and staff are around to help with access.

The washrooms and the coffee shop on site will be closed until the park reopens again in Spring 2017.
