Sinkhole opens on Halifax's Connaught Avenue

City officials say crews will be repairing a sinkhole that opened up on the inbound lane on Connaught Avenue near Jubilee Road in Halifax. 

The sinkhole formed due to a damaged storm drain pipe. 

Repair work is now underway and is expected to be complete by 4 p.m.

Lane reductions, stop-and-go traffic and delays should be expected, officials say.
