Grade 3 teacher identified as victim of crash near Cornwall
OPP say Adriana Chrétien, 27, killed in collision on Highway 138 Monday afternoon

An elementary school teacher from Embrun, Ont., has been identified as the victim of a two-vehicle crash north of Cornwall, Ont., Monday afternoon.
Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry OPP said in a news release two passenger vehicles collided on Highway 138 near Wheeler Road around 3:35 p.m.
The driver of the northbound vehicle died in the crash. Police have identified her as Adriana Chrétien, 27, from Embrun, Ont.
A spokesperson from École élémentaire catholique Marie-Tanguay said in a letter to staff and parents that Chrétien taught Grade 3 at the school.
"It is with great regret that we learned of the death of Mrs. Adriana Chrétien-Lewis from our school," principal Céline Castonguay wrote in the letter. "The school community and the [school board] offer their sincere condolences to the family and loved ones."
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital in critical condition, police said. Two passengers from that vehicle were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The road reopened late Monday night. The police investigation continues.
