Here's what's cancelled due to COVID-19 in the Ottawa area

As cases of COVID-19 continue to emerge in the Ottawa-Gatineau area, here's our running tally of major events that have been cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic.

This list will be updated as more cancellations are announced. Multi-day events that have been called off are listed on the first date they were scheduled for.

Multi-day events, programs, sports, etc.

• All publicly funded schools in Ontario, from March 14 until at least April 5.
• All major museums in Ottawa-Gatineau are closing their doors to visitors, effective Saturday, and until further notice.
• The City of Ottawa is shutting down municipal facilities starting Monday including recreation facilities, pools and libraries until at least April 5.
• The National Arts Centre is cancelling all performances and events until at least April 5.
• Carleton University has cancelled classes and is moving all courses online until at least the end of term. See here for more events that are cancelled. 
• University of Ottawa cancels classes on March 15 and March 16 and as of March 18, in person classes and labs moved online.
• All Ottawa Senators games, as part of the NHL's decision to suspend the remainder of its season.
• All Ottawa 67s games, as part of the OHL's decision to suspend the remainder of its season.
• All minor league hockey games in eastern Ontario, until further notice.
• All events scheduled for the Canadian Tire Centre, including the Disney on Ice shows, which were set to run until March 15.
• The Anglican Diocese of Ontario has cancelled all worship services until further notice.
• All on- and off-campus events planned by St. Lawrence College, which has campuses in Kingston, Brockville and Cornwall, until April 10.
• Future jury trials in Ontario until further notice. Ongoing trials will continue.
• All citizenship ceremonies, citizenship tests and retests across Canada are cancelled until further notice.
• Algonquin College cancelled its March Break Open Houses in both Ottawa and Pembroke and suspended labs and face-to-face classes from March 16 to March 22.
• Queen's University cancelled all undergraduate classes except health professional programs for a week starting March 13 and suspended alumni events and off-campus events in places like Ottawa until the end of May.
• All public events held at the Embassy of Japan, including a March 26 film screening and a poetry event scheduled for March 28.
• Cirque du Soleil's Crystal performance in Ottawa scheduled for July 1 to July 5 at the Canadian Tire Centre.
• TD Place postpones all events scheduled for the next several weeks.
• Canadian Premier League suspends all pre-season training for all of its clubs beginning March 13.
• Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Que. is closed until further notice.
• Dovercourt Recreation Association cancels all programing, rentals and facility use until further notice. 
• Ottawa Sport and Social Club suspending all programming until further notice starting March 16.
• SAW gallery will be closed March 14 to April 6.
• The Mississippi Valley Textile Museum is closed until April 6.
• The Kiwanis Music Festival is postponed until May, with some classes and concerts cancelled.
• Ottawa Gymnastics Centre closed March 14 to April 5.
• Ottawa's House of Targ pinball bar closed until further notice.
• Gatineau Park open, but visitors centre closed.

March 14

• The city's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and subsequent party at Lansdowne Park.
• St. Patrick's celebration at Saint Brigid's Centre for the Arts.
• Capital Chamber Choir Schnittke Concerto for Choir postponed until further notice.
• The British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa has cancelled its meeting.
• Kingston Seedy Saturday cancelled by Kingston Area Seed System Initiative.
• Ottawa Wedding Show scheduled for March 14 and March 15.
• The Archdiocese of Ottawa has asked parishes to cancel all Lord's Day masses March 14 and 15.

March 15

• Limmud 2020, a festival of Jewish learning and culture that had been slated for the Soloway Jewish Community Centre.

March 16

• Week-long March break camps at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa.
• Spirit of Rasputin's open stage cancelled. 
• New Image of Home exhibition reception and lecture at Carleton University.

March 18

• Just For Laughs Dara Ó Briain performance at the Meridian Theatres Centrepointe.

March 19

• The national capital's Persian New Year festivities, also known as Nowruz.

March 20

• Pearl Jam's concert at the Canadian Tire Centre.

March 21

• An open house at the University of Ottawa for prospective undergraduate students.
• Cumberland Lions Club's Murder Mystery event.

March 21

• Ottawa Coffee Fest scheduled for March 21 and March 22 postponed.

March 26

• The two-day Safety Days and Wellness Fair at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour in Kingston, Ont.

March 28

• An open house on the proposed new downtown core for Barrhaven.

March 30

• Museopark's Soup Splash Monday evening. 
• Ottawa Symphony Orchestra's concert.

April 4

• Vanier Sugar Festival, April 4 and April 5.
• The Ten Collective two-day show, April 4 and April 5, in Almonte, Ont.
• Cumberland Lions Club two-day annual Maplefest on April 4 and April 5.

April 8

• The Discover TechNATA expo and job fair has been moved to Oct. 5 at the Brookstreet Hotel.

April 11

• Jesse Cook concert at the National Arts Centre to be rescheduled.

April 29

• The Big Brothers and Big Sisters' 50th annual celebration dinner and awards ceremony.

May 4

• Ottawa Symphony Orchestra's concert.

March 13

• All schools and facilities in three of western Quebec's four French school boards are closed. The Commission scolaire des Hauts-Bois-de-l'Outaouais and English Western Québec School Board is open.
• The Kanata Muslim Association has cancelled its Friday prayer gathering.
• The First Robotics Competition, the Relay for Life cancer fundraiser and the March Break open house at Carleton University.
• Saw Gallery's annual Sketch fundraiser and afterparty.
• Child Haven Fiesta fundraiser First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa.
