An Ontario Superior Court judge granted bail Tuesday to Hassan Diab, the University of Ottawa professor accused of bombing a Paris synagogue in 1980.
Four people died in the attack and 20 others were injured.
Diab, 55, was arrested last year after French authorities tracked him to Canada and requested his extradition to face charges of murder and attempted murder.
The Ontario judge attached several conditions to Diab's release, including that he wear an electronic tracking bracelet and that he only leave his home alone to go to work, attend court or because of a medical emergency.
Diab will also have to be present at his extradition hearing.
