PC incumbent faces 5 challengers
UPDATE | Elections Ontario said June 1 that storm damage means the polling place at St. Monica School has been moved to The Metropolitan Bible Church at 2176 Prince of Wales Dr.
The Progressive Conservatives won Nepean in 2018, taking just over 45 per cent of the vote.
With just under 29 per cent, the NDP placed second ahead of the Liberals, who got 19 per cent.
Incumbent Lisa MacLeod is up against five candidates.
Kathleen Corriveau, New Blue
The New Blue candidate has been living in Nepean for the last 20 years with her husband and two children.
She worked as a federal scientist in emergency management for 18 years.
Brian Double, NDP
The NDP candidate is a lifelong resident of Nepean who has worked for the federal government for 20 years.
That work included inspecting boats for pests and negotiating international trade agreements.
Bryan Emmerson, Ontario Party
Lisa MacLeod, PC*
The PC incumbent was first elected to the provincial legislature in 2006, serving as the youngest MPP at that time.
She served in what was then Nepean-Carleton, winning elections in 2007, 2011 and 2014, before the riding boundaries changed and it became known as Nepean in 2018, when she won again.
Kaitlyn Tremblay, Green Party
The Green Party contender has lived across Canada growing up as part of her upbringing in a military family.
She says she works to champion equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the workplace.
Tyler Watt, Liberal
The Liberal candidate is a registered nurse who grew up and lives in Nepean.
He said he wasn't interested in politics when he was growing up but has since become engaged.
