Ottawa shooting: Family grieves after Parliament Hill field trip
A family from Ottawa says they were visiting Parliament Hill on Wednesday, including the parents and their three children, when the shooter Michael Zehaf-Bibeau stormed inside and opened fire.

The Lamarre family of Ottawa was visiting Parliament Hill as part of a field trip for home-schooled children when the shooter, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, stormed in and opened fire.

The Lamarres were one floor below where the shooter barged in Centre Block and police quickly grabbed them and pulled them to safety. However, one of the children was separated from the parents.
The family reached out to CBC News to share their story. You can watch Ashley Burke's report in the video above.
On Saturday morning, family therapist Natasxa Cini also talked about strategies for parents when speaking to their children during a crisis.
