Remembrance Day 2015: Ottawa remembers fallen soldiers

About 35,000 people gathered in downtown Ottawa on Remembrance Day for the ceremony at the National War Memorial and shared their experience on social media.

As capital fell silent for ceremony, people remembered on social media

The national Remembrance Day ceremony presents a chance for family, friends and colleagues to remember those who sacrificed themselves at war for Canada.

There were thousands in attendance on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015 to honour fallen soldiers, as captured by the CBC's Giacomo Panico before the ceremony began.

That included family members, plus many children and students.

Residents of Ottawa, in attendance or at home, shared their remembrance on social media, as well.
