Many people in Vanier continue to oppose city council's decision to approve Salvation Army's 350-bed homeless shelter on Montreal Road. They're appealing the decision, and every candidate in the ward promises to fight its construction. Other issues in Vanier include a lack of rapid transit, community policing and revitalizing the ByWard Market.
