Environment Canada's severe thunderstorm warnings are done for the Ottawa-Gatineau area. The first was issued around 1:30 p.m. and the last ended around 3:45 p.m.

Eastern and southern parts of eastern Ontario, plus the Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, Que., area, are under a severe thunderstorm watch until early evening.

These watches mean a severe storm is possible. A warning means one is happening or likely about to happen.

People should get indoors when thunderstorms approach, according to Environment Canada. If caught outside they should protect themselves from hail and wind-blown debris while avoiding standing under a tree or gazebo.
