Mount Polley mine spill, an aerial view

A tailings pond for the Mount Polley mine in B.C. had its dam break on Monday, spilling its toxic contents into Hazeltine Creek, which flows into Quesnel Lake near the town of Likely, B.C. A series of aerial photographs taken on Aug. 5 show the extent of the devastation.
