A walk in support of people with dementia in Charlottetown and Summerside Sunday raised money for the cause.
The money supports the Alzheimer Society's research programs looking into the cause and cure for Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
Nicole Blanchard and her son Jeremie raised $305 for the cause and were walking for Blanchard's parents.
"It's certainly a difficult disease and it certainly affects the whole family," she said.
With P.E.I.'s aging population, the number of Islanders with dementia is growing.
