Of the 60 P.E.I. restaurants that took part in April's 2015 Burger Love campaign, The Home Place Inn and Restaurant in Kensington was the big winner with The Cabbage Patch.

"Overwhelmed, seriously," said chef Glenda Burt, who created the burger, which received the most online votes of all the entries.

"I definitely did not expect this because I had heard there were so many great burgers out there and I felt we had a great burger as well, but I didn't think we would ever win."

She said the restaurant kept getting busier as the month progressed.
