Catherine MacLellan leads P.E.I. at ECMAs
MacLellan nominated for folk recording and songwriter of the year
With nominations for folk recording of the year and songwriter of the year, Catherine MacLellan leads P.E.I. musicians for ECMA nominations, which were announced Wednesday.
In total, Island artists received eight music nominations, three industry nominations, and two fan’s choice picks.

Catherine MacLellan has also been selected to perform at the gala April 12 in St. John's, NL. Ashley Condon will perform on the Rising Star stage and Paper Lions will participate in a Songwriting Circle.
Island-raised singer-songwriter Jenn Grant also received several nominations, as did the band Hey Rosetta, which features P.E..I fiddler Kinley Dowling, and In-Flight Safety, whose drummer Glen Nicholson is from P.E.I.. Islander Daniel Ledwell now lives in Nova Scotia with his wife Jenn Grant; he was nominated for Producer of the Year.
