P.E.I.'s Catherine MacLellan won a Juno Saturday night in Hamilton.

Her album Raven's Sun was named roots and traditional solo album of the year. This is the first Juno for MacLellan. She was up for songwriter of the year as well, but that went to the artist Bahamas.

MacLellan wasn't able to attend the awards because she's on tour in Germany.

This is the second year in a row that a P.E.I. artist has won the roots and traditional solo album of the year Juno. Last year Rose Cousins won the award for We Have Made a Spark.
