MS Veendam, first cruise ship of 2016, arrives in Charlottetown seaport

Cruise ship season is officially underway on P.E.I. as the first ship of the season, the MS Veendam, has docked at the seaport in Charlottetown.
The MS Veendam has 1,350 passengers and 580 crew members on board.
It's the first of 58 ships scheduled to arrive in Charlottetown. Eight of the visits will be from cruise ships stopping in province for the first time.
Visits will continue until Oct. 19.
