The City of Charlottetown is hosting a public meeting to hear comments on building a new bandstand in Victoria Park.
The city describes the proposed structure as a simple, bandstand-style cultural pavilion which could be used for events like the 10-hour Canada Day concert.
It would be built on the water, across the road from the cannons at Prince Edward Battery.
A bandstand was built in Victoria Park in 1973, but it was severely damaged during the mid-1980s and eventually torn down.
The public meeting will be held at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel at 7 p.m. on July 12.
