Dodgeball tournament could draw 2,000 people to Summerside

About 2,000 people are expected to come to Summerside, P.E.I. today to watch people dodge, dive and deflect their way to glory.

The Island Dodgeball Championship is underway at the Credit Union Place.

Junior high tournaments run in the afternoon and the high schools play at night.

About 500 athletes from 31 teams will play.

According to organizers, more than 1,400 flocked to UPEI for the event last year.

That event had more than 300 players from schools across the Island.
