East Pointers win 2 Music P.E.I. awards

The first awards of P.E.I. Music Week were announced Friday morning and The East Pointers are double winners.

The East Pointers feature well-known Island musician Tim Chaisson, along with his cousin Koady and Jake Charron. They won Roots Traditional Recording of the Year and New Artist of the Year.

A third award was given to Sue Urquart for Industry Person of the Year.

There are more awards to come. They're being handed out through the weekend as the May Run Music Festival continues.
