Another area of rain and wet snow will roll across Prince Edward Island Wednesday.

RCMP warn black ice on Route 2 between Kensington and Hunter River has caused some minor accidents early Wednesday morning. Drivers also face freezing fog in Charlottetown.

There will not be as much snow as Tuesday, with just two to three centimetres falling. High temperatures will reach 2C, so that snow will be mixed with showers.

Yet one more disturbance will move across the Maritimes on Thursday with more showers and/or flurries.

The current forecast is for the weather to improve for the weekend, with a mix of sun and cloud for the first weekend of May with afternoon temperatures approaching the seasonal norm of 10C.

There is, however, a disturbance passing by to the south, which if it decides to move closer could bring a lot of
rain and wind later on Saturday and into Sunday before clearing Sunday night.

Whether the weekend is sunny or rainy, it still looks like Monday, election day, will be mostly sunny and warm.
