Fort McMurray fire: Islanders share their photos of the flames

Fort McMurray has been evacuated as a large wildfire tears through the city, displacing tens of thousands of people, including many Islanders who are living and working out West.

Since the fire began, Islanders have been sharing their photos of the blaze and eventual evacuation on social media.

Makayla MacArthur sent this view from her house from before her family was driven from their home. She wrote that they 'lost the house but everyone is safe — all that matters.' (Submitted by Makayla MacArthur)
