Hillsborough Bridge traffic reduced by one lane Sunday morning

There will be delays Sunday morning on the Hillsborough Bridge. 

Traffic will be reduced by one lane on the bridge from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

There will also be intermittent full bridge closures which will last no more than 15 minutes. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through. Signage will be in place. 

The Department of Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy says the closure is required to conduct load testing on the bridge. Officials are doing the tests to determine the feasibility of adding a lane for walkers and cyclists, and a pipeline to transport sewage from Stratford to Charlottetown for treatment.
