On Thursday, June 5, Island Morning is heading to the community of Crapaud to talk about health care on P.E.I. — particularly in the rural areas.

The show will broadcast live between 5:55 a.m. and 8:37 a.m. from the Red Rooster Restaurant, along the Trans-Canada Highway in Crapaud.

Host Mitch Cormier will speak to people about rural health care.

Some of the guests will include:

  • Lisa Gallant, a driving force in bringing doctors and nurse-practitioners to the area to work at the South Shore Health and Wellness Centre. And now that centre is expanding.
  • Health Minister Mark McLane
  • Folks who live in the Crapaud area about what it's like to access health care there.

If you live nearby and want to stop by to say hello, the coffee will be on us.
