The P.E.I. man charged with first-degree murder in the death of Traci Lynn Lynch last July is still searching for a new lawyer.

Joel Lawrence Clow, 47, of Pleasant Grove, P.E.I., has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and one count of indecent interference with a human body.

Clow was back in Supreme Court Monday morning, a month after the start of his murder trial was abruptly adjourned when his lawyer Thane MacEachern resigned.

MacEachern said at the time, "It is an ethical matter...Mr. Clow is refusing to accept my advice."

MacEachern returned to court with Clow Monday morning to advise Justice Wayne Cheverie that Clow hasn't lined up a new lawyer yet. MacEachern pointed out there is a "limited pool of lawyers" in this province.

MacEachern said Clow does have a meeting arranged today with a potential lawyer.

A new court date is set for this Friday.
