Regional collaboration is expected to dominate discussion when the three Maritime premiers meet Friday in Charlottetown.

It's the first meeting of the three Liberal premiers since the new Liberal government took office in Ottawa. All 32 federal seats in Atlantic Canada are now held by Liberals.

New Brunswick Premier Brian Gallant said having like-minded premiers, ministers and members of Parliament is a real benefit.

He said the region has a window of opportunity to move important projects forward.

The three provinces are expected to sign a deal to reduce red tape in the region.
