P.E.I. antiques believed among those seized in N.S.
Island items could include railway card deck, ginger beer bottles
A few antiques that are likely from P.E.I. have been identified in an ongoing theft investigation by Nova Scotia RCMP.
In January, police seized more than 1,000 antiques from the Fall River home of John Mark Tillmann.
It is believed they were amassed over two decades from across the Maritimes.
Now police are trying to find out where the items come from.
The items that may be from the Island include a deck of P.E.I. Railway cards and G.H. Simmons Ginger Beer bottles.
"We have been in touch with several individuals there. As you can imagine, we're here in Halifax, so it's kind of difficult for us to kind of drop everything and run off to P.E.I. to obtain statements from people," said Sgt. Colin MacLean, who is leading the investigation.
"So we haven't gotten 100 per cent confirmation on some of those items. We feel we've identified where they've come from."
MacLean said anyone who thinks they own the seized items should contact Nova Scotia RCMP.
