Credit Union Place is approved to start a solar farm in Summerside.

Credit Union Place is approved to start a solar farm in Summerside.
Monday night Summerside council approved the project for the largest sports venue in western P.E.I. Electricity generated by the farm will be used to help power the centre.
The plan calls for the solar panels to go on green space behind the building and on some of the overflow parking area.
The city hopes to have the project in the works next year.
