Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for P.E.I. for the next two days, with temperatures of about 30 C expected.
Monday's high is 30 C, with a humidex of 35.
It will not cool down much Monday night, with a maximum temperature of 19 C.
The hot weather will stick around Tuesday, with a high of 29 C, before cooling off Tuesday night with a low of 14.
It is expected to be cooler along the coast both Monday and Tuesday, and cooler temperatures return in all areas on Wednesday.
Heat can pose a risk of illness
The UV index will also be very high both days.
Environment Canada issues heat warnings when very high temperatures or humidity can pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
