P.E.I.'s Island Storm had a good look at a three-pointer to extend their National Basketball League of Canada Tuesday night, but the shot did not fall.

The Storm lost to the Halifax Hurricanes 105-102, giving Halifax the Atlantic Conference title in six games. The Hurricanes advance to the NBL final for third year in a row, where they will face the London Lightning.

The Storm had a strong start, leading by 12 at the end of the first quarter, but Halifax battled back for a five point lead by the end of the third.

The Storm fought for the lead a couple of times in the fourth quarter but couldn't hold it. They gave up key offensive rebounds in the closing minutes, and missed a three that would have tied it at the buzzer.

Akeem Ellis led the Storm with 24 points and and 10 rebounds. Billy White had 26 points and 15 rebounds for the Hurricanes.
