Pride week window display just 'to support love'
Luna Eclectic Emporium window features same-sex wedding
The P.E.I. Pride festival began Sunday, and there are a lot of businesses and organizations showing their support.
We just want to support love.- Amanda Rae Gallant
One Charlottetown store has a special window display. The window at Luna Eclectic Emporium features a mannequin same-sex wedding, with lots of rainbow colours and kissing animal figurines.
Store manager Amanda Rae Gallant said she has done rainbow-themed pride windows in the past, but this year she wanted something more.
"Luna and the whole family of Luna stores — Luna Moonsnail and Moonsnail Mercantile out in Avonlea — we all support our LGBTQ community with all of our heart," said Gallant.
"We all have family members and friends who are members of that community, and so we just want to support love."
Gallant said she'll keep the display up for the usual two weeks, unless it has to come down because too many of the items have been purchased.
