P.E.I. will soon have its first indoor trampoline park.

A new indoor trampoline park planned for Slemon Park, just outside of Summerside, hopes to be open just before Christmas.

Jason Wall, co-owner of Off the Wallz with Steven Darrach, said the park will be going into the 14,000-square-foot former Canada Games Sports Centre.

Hiring 7 to 12

It will include four Olympic-sized trampolines, a dodge ball court, slam dunk basketball, an obstacle course and a soft play area. Wall said the idea has been in the works for more than two years.

"It's been kind of surreal, there's a lot of work to do," said Wall.

"We hope and we think we should be very busy off the hop."

Wall said they plan to hire seven to 12 employees, and will charge $15 a person for 75 minute sessions.

All the equipment is expected to arrive on P.E.I. in early December, and Off the Wallz hopes to open for business by Dec. 23.
