The Red Cross stepped in to assist a family of three in Stratford, P.E.I., over the weekend.
A fire was reported in the family's home at about 8 a.m. Sunday, according to the Canadian Red Cross. There were no injuries, said the agency, but there was major damage to the Pond Side Ct. house.
A woman and her adult son and daughter were forced out of the home. A Red Cross team arranged emergency lodging, food, clothing and other essentials.
