Royal Canadian Air Force holding training exercise in Summerside

If you happen to see people parachuting out of aircraft and things being dropped from the sky in the coming days, don't be alarmed, it might just be a Royal Canadian Air Force training exercise.

If you happen to see people parachuting out of an aircraft and things being dropped from the sky in the coming days, don't be alarmed, it might just be a Royal Canadian Air Force training exercise.

From Monday to Friday, a search and rescue exercise will be conducted primarily out of the area around the airport in Summerside, P.E.I., but the training will also make use of the airports and regions around Miramichi, N.B., and Sydney, N.S.

The exercise will also involve waterways, aircraft, Canadian Coast Guard vessels and pyrotechnics.

The training will run from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.
