T3 broke the 2,000-fare mark twice last week
Charlottetown-based T3 Transit set a new record for paid fares last week.
On July 13 the service recorded 2,220 fares.
"I can remember 10 years ago when we would wonder if 500 daily passengers could ever be possible," said T3 Transit owner Mike Cassidy in a news release.
T3 Transit started 11 years ago with four buses. It now runs 11 buses at peak times, and also travels to Cornwall and Stratford.
The service also had more than 2,000 passengers on Thursday. The previous record of 1,977 fares was set last winter.
Cassidy said the company is setting a new goal of 2,500 fares in a day.
