Wade MacLauchlan seeking Liberal nomination in York-Oyster Bed

Premier Wade MacLauchlan announced Friday evening that he will seek the Liberal nomination in District 9, York-Oyster Bed.

MacLauchlan made the announcement at the District 9 annual fundraising dinner.

"Tonight, I am proud and humbled to announce my candidacy for District 9 and look forward to representing the constituents of York-Oyster Bed," he said.

MacLauchlan recognized the contributions of former MLA Robert Vessey, who is now the premier's chief of staff.

"Robert was one of the first people to reach out and encourage me to seek the leadership of the Liberal party," he said.

"I am thankful for his support and recognize his tremendous commitment to the residents of York-Oyster Bed over the past seven years."
