Winter won't let go of P.E.I. with late-April blast
Slippery roads, poor visibility and a lot of disgruntled Islanders
Winter made a return visit to P.E.I. Tuesday with snow, slippery road conditions and poor visibility.
RCMP started their day responding to collisions.
By this time of year, some Islanders have already taken their snow tires off and police were advising extra caution on the roads.
"We always recommend you have your headlights on, even though it's daylight hours, because that puts your put your taillights on, it's easier for other people to see you," said Sgt. Leanne Butler.
"Of course, get out that snow brush, clean off all the windows. We still need to see out clearly where we're going, and slow down."
In town, many retailers are preparing for spring.
"Well it just means a slower roll out," said Jamie Lewis, manager of Sherwood Home Hardware.
"We've been trying the last four or five weeks to get all the spring stuff out on the shelves and merchandise. We're hoping, but just not yet."
And, according to CBC P.E.I. weather expert Boomer Gallant, the cool, wet weather will continue with a risk of freezing drizzle early Wednesday and then chilly, cloudy and damp into Thursday.
RCMP responded to a few roll overs today. On scene on Union Road at the moment. Use caution Please. Cst. Parsons pic.twitter.com/dVFaRMQjrb
