Prince George and Princess Charlotte will visit Canada for the first time this fall when they join their parents on their royal tour, according to multiple reports.

Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, announced last month they had accepted the Canadian government's invitation to visit this corner of the Commonwealth.

The tour is expected to take the Royal Family to B.C. and Yukon.

Kensington Palace said the couple hold "very happy memories" of their last visit to Canada in June and July 2011, as newlyweds, when they stopped in the National Capital Region, Montreal, Quebec City, Charlottetown and Summerside, P.E.I., Yellowknife, Slave Lake and Calgary.

Both Us Weekly and the Sunday Times cite royal sources as saying the children will accompany the duke and duchess on the tour, which is expected to include outdoor and nature-related activities. Us also reports the family of four and their team will fly first class on a commercial flight to Vancouver, rather than take a private jet.

"[My wife] Sharon and I will be delighted to welcome Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Canada," Gov. Gen. David Johnston said in a statement. "Our true Canadian pride and spirit will shine and be at the very heart of this visit so they can feel at home."

Details, including the exact dates of the trip and the family's itinerary, will be released "in due course," Kensington Palace said.

The young prince turned three in July, and Princess Charlotte is 15 months old. The Canadian tour would be Charlotte's first trip overseas. George accompanied his parents to Australia and New Zealand in 2014.
