Allows trucks to get to Global Transportation Hub straight off highway
A $43-million overpass that will be a gateway to Regina's Global Transportation Hub was opened on Tuesday.
The overpass just west of the city on the Trans-Canada Highway lets trucks turn left onto the West Regina Bypass.
The bypass, which is still under construction, lets trucks get to the hub off the highway without coming into the city first.
There's some finishing work to be done on the overpass and work continues on a new four-lane section of the bypass that runs from the Trans-Canada to Dewdney Avenue, officials said.
The total value of the bypass work to date is $113 million.
