Soomaya Javadi was a student of the dentistry program at Kabul University of Medical Science. She works as an interpreter for Afghan children and as an early childhood educator with the Saskatoon Open Door Society. She is a freelance writer, human rights advocate, a women's rights defender and a passionate Hazara woman from Afghanistan.
