North Battleford RCMP have charged three people after a string of thefts across southern and central Saskatchewan.

The incidents occurred between Nov. 22 and Jan. 1, according to a Monday news release from RCMP.

RCMP linked the crimes to incidents in communities including Dodsland, Rosetown, Gull Lake, Wolseley, Craven, Battleford and several others.

The investigation required coordination from multiple detachment areas, the release said.

On Feb. 5 police executed a search warrant in Biggar, Sask., leading to the arrests of a 36-year-old woman and 33-year-old man. They face multiple charges including breaking and entering, theft and mischief.

A third suspect, a 48-year-old man from Rosetown, was arrested on Feb. 12. He faces similar charges, but is also charged with robbery in connection with a bank robbery in Landis, Sask.

In total, 64 charges have been laid between the three suspects.

The 36-year-old woman and 33-year-old man are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on April 7, while the 48-year-old man is set to appear on April 14.

  • A previous version of this story stated that all three suspects had been arrested in connection with a bank robbery. In fact, only one of them is accused in the bank robbery.
