Regina mayor Michael Fougere debates against Jim Holmes of Regina Water Watch
People packed into an auditorium at the University of Regina on Wednesday night to hear both sides of Regina's complicated wastewater treatment plant debate.
Regina mayor Michael Fougere faced off in a debate against Jim Holmes of Regina Water Watch.
Both made their case about how Regina should pay for its new sewage treatment plant.
Mayor Fougere argued the plant should be built and operated by a private company.
Holmes argued for a more traditional model where the city hires someone else to build it, but takes control of operations itself.
More than 600 people attended. Another debate is scheduled for tonight.
