Photographer to capture prairie landscapes using kites
Rob Huntley finds a bird's eye view by attaching his camera to a kite
Rob Huntley takes photos from the sky by attaching his camera equipment to various types of kites.
He'll be in Swift Current, Sask. this weekend to capture shots of the Saskatchewan landscapes at the SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival.
He first began experimenting with the new form of photography in 2008.
"I saw the city from angles I've never seen before," he said.
The different perspective is why he still does it today.
Huntley has taken photographs all around the world using his kite method. He has only attended the Swift Current, Sask., kite festival once before in 2011.
Huntley plans to stick around the province for a few days after the festival ends because he wants to photograph southern Saskatchewan from the sky.
The festival runs June 25 to 26 in Swift Current.
