We might take for granted what it means to have the joy to move and dance. But Dimple Mehta NEVER takes it for granted. She joins host Shauna Powers from the stage of Regina's Artesian on 13th to explain why it was so life-changing when she took her first ballroom dance lesson here in Canada and how becoming part of the dance community has brought so much joy into her life.

Ken Pilon learned about his epilepsy in a dramatic way when he had a grand mal seizure while driving. He would soon learn that he'd likely been having seizures every day for his entire life. Those seizures injured his brain, and after brain surgery Ken's daily life and emotional life was radically changed. He joins host Shauna Powers from the stage of Regina's Artesian on 13th to talk about his road back to hope and acceptance.

Many of us know what it’s like to lose a loved one - and those moments of loss shape us. For Kenzie Sproat, it was a devastating blow when her grandmother died. She joins host Shauna Powers on stage at the Artesian on 13th to explain how that has changed the course of her life and who she is as a person.

Mohammad Akib Hossain describes his childhood in Bangladesh as a life of privilege, where he was supported and cared for in almost every way. But his new life as a student at the University of Regina was a wake up call, and it wasn't always easy or comfortable. Akib will tell you, though, that discomfort also sparks growth and his new life in Canada was the moment when everything changed for him. He joins host Shauna Powers from the stage of Regina's Artesian on 13th for this special broadcast.

Vibya Natana grew up in Regina and was often the only black child in her elementary school classes. But a trip to her parent's home country of South Sudan when she was 7 years old gave Vibya a sense of community and family she'd never experienced before. That was the moment when everything changed for her. Vibya speaks to host Shauna Powers from the stage at Regina's Artesian on 13th in a special evening of story and song.

We've all had it happen: a moment when there's a distinct before and after. A dividing line between what was and what is. Perhaps it's that moment when your new baby took its first breath, the thrill of a grand adventure, or the tingling feeling of love. Loss creates dividing lines, too.

It was a special evening at Regina's Artesian on 13th when we celebrated stories about 'The Moment When Everything Changed'. Rising Canadian star Katie Tupper was the musical guest for the evening, along with her keyboard player Ben Millman. Her performances were interspersed throughout the event, but we've combined them for you here, along with Katie's conversations with host Shauna Powers.

Meet Ken Pilon, who has had to learn to chart a new course through life after a brain altering surgery. Dimple Mehta will celebrate the joy of discovering ballroom dancing in her new home of Canada. Mohammad Akib Hossain will explore what it was like to swap a life of comfort in Bangladesh for an empty fridge and blizzards in Canada. For Vibya Natana, that life changing moment happened when, at 7 years old, she and her immigrant parents left Regina to visit their home country of South Sudan. And for Kenzi Sproat, the death of her grandmother had a profound impact. The example her grandmother set while she was alive helped Kenzie find an inner strength she never knew she had.
